How much will I earn?
Fees vary depending on your property, the type of project and the number of crew. With our knowledge of industry budgets we will command an appropriate fee for your property depending on the type of production using it. Fees can vary from £500.00 to £3000.00 per day.
Will my property get damaged?
Occasionally there are accidents but that is why we will not allow any production access to a property without them signing a location hire agreement, providing insurance and paying the fee plus a damage deposit upfront before any filming can take place. Our license also states that the property needs to be fully re-instated as found.
How many people will be in the crew?
Crew numbers vary depending on the type of project. A still photography crew may have as few as 5 people where as a feature film crew may have as many as 50 people on location.
How should I photograph my property?
Ideally you should take photos from left to right from the corner of each room. In addition to this you should take photos of interesting features and the exterior of your property. For a location profile, we need at least 15 photos of a property in order to represent it effectively on the website.
Do I have to leave the house for the day?
While the production is using your property you can stay at home and observe or go out for the day, most owners are at home at the start and end of every day.
Do I have to accept all the enquiries Unitbase come to me with?
No, it's completely up to you which projects you take on. We would however require you to confirm that you are happy for a production to use your property before a technical recce is arranged so we do not misuse the time of a production company.
