Piers founded Unitbase in 2003, when after recognising a gap in the market, he set about building an agency service to represent car park owners that would help to regulate film unit parking London and make the process easier.
Using this unique selling point as a building block, the company has grown from strength to strength since trading began in June 2004, by representing locations of the highest calibre to the creative industries. These include property portfolios belonging to several commercial developers as well as blue chip clients like Westfield London and Westfield Stratford, British Waterways and National Car Parks (NCP).
Formerly a Location and Unit Manager, Piers began his freelance career in 1995 and until 2010 also worked as a Line Producer. His freelance credits include the Bafta award winning 'Peep Show' and 'The Inbetweeners'. In this capacity he has been directly responsible for budgets in excess of £25m (net).
Piers is now CEO of Unitbase having undertaken the position of Managing Director of Wimbledon Film & TV Studios after succesfully leading a consortium to complete the purchase of the former Merton Studios from Fremantle Media for £4.75m in the autumn of 2010.
